XPOtool MIG100 FCAW Welder 30-100A Flux Cored Arc Welding IGBT Gasless

  • €1,00000

This FCAW welder is ideal for flux-cored arc welding since it works entirely without shielding gases. The welding machine is very easy to use and therefore particularly suitable for hobbyists and DIY experts.

Unlike MIG/MAG welding, flux cored arc welding (FCAW) does not use solid wire electrodes, but a tubular wire electrode with flux core.

Since this flux core welder has no connection for external gas, it is essential to use self-shielded flux-cored wire. This special welding wire contains flux, arc stabilising, slag and gas forming agents. When the arc is struck between the workpiece and the consumable filler wire, the flux core melts. The different agents produce shielding gases that protect the weld pool from the atmosphere.

The fact, that no additional gas bottle is required, makes the welding unit not only ideal for outdoor use, but also particularly handy and suitable for welding in different angles. Thanks to the carrying strap the welder is easily portable.

The welding process should be chosen in regards to the material and the thickness of the sheet (0.5–5 mm). This synergic welder is equipped with a useful rotary control to set the required welding current. The continuous wire feeder is suitable for solid and flux-cored electrode wire with a thickness of 0.8 to 0.9 mm (0.5–1 kg).

State-of-the-art IGBT technology guarantees a stable electric arc and efficient duty cycle. For more safety, the welding machine is equipped with overheat and overload protection.

Flux cored arc welding is suitable for most structural steels, carbon and stainless steels as well as cast iron. FCAW has proven particularly effective for joining thicker materials. In addition, this welding method produces extremely durable and accurate weld seams.
