For the keeping of bunnies, rabbits, and guinea pigs respect the needs of those animals, there is room required for daily movement and a safe refugium where the animals are protected from enemies and weather. This rabbit hutch made from glazed spruce wood has two levels and can complete a large free enclosure for keeping of small animals.

The lower level is a running enclosure, equipped with a galvanised mesh, where little explorers can exploit the entire room provided. A ramp coated with non-skid material allows the small animals easy access to the little house. In order to link the hutch to a large enclosure, the lower level is equipped with two lockable doors. This door not only allows the bunnies access to a possible large free enclosure, but also simplifies cleaning of the lower hutch level.

The upper level is a house protected on all sides, which, filled with hay and straw, offers a comfortable sleeping berth. A door allows easy access to the house, permitting easy handling and cleaning. The floor of the little house is a practical dirt bin from galvanised tinplate that can easily be removed and comfortably cleaned. The roof, coated with bitumen, protects the inhabitants of the hutch from rain. The fittings are fully galvanised to resist to weather.

Note: Pygmy rabbits, for instance, are highly social animals and should be kept in groups of at least three. This group needs at least 6 square metres of floor space plus a separate sleeping house for each animal.
